A Game of Truth or Dare
Version 2: Gina’s Game Expansion —
The overall game now has updated paths and endings. There are five possible Truths and five possible Dares (four for Brad) in the main game. The main game has three possible endings with variations. Each character may only be chosen once, the same goes for possible choices. All choices may have an effect on the ending, subtle or blatant.
Gina’s Game creates an alternate path, largely controlled by Gina. It is activated by having Gina choose herself at the start, and this will be an automatic Dare. The reader may then repeatedly choose any character besides Gina, who is now “in control,” under unaltered circumstances, up to ten times (nine for Brad). It is possible for the reader to choose every character’s Truth once, but Truths can be blocked entirely or altered by chosen Dares. Three (minus one for Brad) of the original Dares are available, plus two different ones. Individual characters’ Truths and Dares may only be chosen once, but some Dares may negate or alter other choices of all the characters. This plotline may be ended at any time after every character is chosen once. Following Gina’s Game without “escaping” will lead to only one ending, which will of course be affected by the reader’s choices.
Gina’s Game may be “escaped” after any character’s Dare or Truth, including Gina’s initial Dare to herself, by letting her mind wander. It will not be possible to return. The game will not entirely reset, however. Certain elements of the Dares, including of the two different Dares, will silently carry over into the original game. Some effects may be seen with Gina during and at an ending, while the other effects will largely be seen just at an ending. Playing both Giana’s and the main game is the only way to achieve the new Path of Domination ending, depending on the choices made. Also, individual Truths chosen by the characters in Gina’s Game cannot be chosen again in the main game, primarily for internal technical reasons.
