8/17/2013 EMCSA Update

WITHIN: Graded primarily on heat and narrative
WITHOUT: Graded primarily on narrative
Possible spoilers below …

Candace the Cowherd (mc ff gr la) (new)  by CNP
–3.5/5 (good, not quite earth shattering)–

Definitely well polished. Though, I can’t say I was seriously drawn into this at the start. Objectively, my only real complaint is that there was too much set up. There are no set rules really, but there’s no need to throw in so much background chapter 1. As such, not much seemed to happen at first. Once things got going, though, it started to get interesting. Nice old fashioned, mysterious changes, which just happen to be fueling her and the roommate’s changing sexual desires! Yes, I’ll be following this! Just something about renouncing the bra thanks to breasts filling with milk ;)

The Great Silence (mc ff ft) (new)  by fembotheather

I’m sorry, my mind is intentionally structured too chaotically for a mind ray to be affective :P Anyway, didn’t Doctor Who already have the Silence? They frack with your memory, so I can’t be sure. What was I saying? Anyway, very nicely written from the start. A bit on the long side, but the story is rich enough to overcome that, especially as the plot unfolded. Oh, and the heat and TFs were fantastic by the way! If I was a woman and found that kind of bliss, no matter how rebellious I can be, I would not resist like Thorn! I’d say, it would be worth making my thought processes linear. As a side note, I guess they never heard of monks taking vows of silence :) So yeah, never read anything quite like this, though it does loosely remind me of Lovecraft’s Innsmouth, minus the lovecraftian dread. The rage element also reminded me of the original Star Trek pilot with Pike and co. Regardless, This was ultimately, wonderfully unique.

Bag Boy (mc mm) (new)  by sb_jb_mc
~~2/5 (so-so, maybe a good story to others but didn’t mesmerize me)~~

Don’t normally read MM, so here we go! While not necessarily disgusting person, I can’t say I found our hero that likable. I think that was out of how this story felt a bit two dimensional and simplistic to be honest. Even if this was MF or FF, the story just doesn’t have anything noteworthy to make it work for me …
(ReReadability: Low / Follow: no)

I mean no offense to MM writers, whom I am sure have made great stories, but my forays into the genre under the MC blanket tend to be fruitless, narratively.
