WITHIN: Graded primarily on heat and narrative
WITHOUT: Graded primarily on narrative

WITHIN
Eros Beds (mc mf gr) (new)  by Ramaset
–2.5/5 (not great, had some redeeming qualities)–

Well, OK Ramset Jill on that Author’s Note! Did push a negative button with drama too soon. I mean, boo hoo, expensive water damage … Wait, who are these fictional people? Another thing that struck me is this job search thing. What about the jobs they had already? Accountants can make a hell of a lot of money, while getting a loan or getting a new mortgage didn’t seem to even cross their minds … That aside, even though it kinda breaks down the narrative for me, this was rather predictable and silly. The TF wasn’t half bad, though.

Nylon Agenda (mc mf ff md fd ft) (new)  by jman_bigdaddy
–2/5 (so-so, maybe a good story to others but didn’t mesmerize me)–

Overlooking the enslavement thingy here, even though this doesn’t hold back on that theme. It didn’t seem to present itself as a serious narrative, so that helped. One issue was that I had trouble seeing the point of enslaving all these people. I guess an enslaved person could give them all their money, but wouldn’t somebody notice that was happening? That pretty much broke everything down for me. Skimmed a bit …

The Beta State (mc ff mf fd md) (new)  by seesaw6
~~3/5 (decent, not perfect)~~

Never read Alpha Beta, and based on the length, I just don’t have the time to … Interestingly written, and made it work, I suppose. Didn’t pull me in as much as it could’ve, in spite of the rebellious themes. Must admit, due to the length, I just didn’t have the time to read this all that deeply. Still, perfectly readable.

RANDOM COMMENTS
Totally would’ve gotten these reviews sooner if I didn’t finally figure out how to write the the climactic scene to Further Chronicles of a Cosmic Detective! I was really trying to work that out for a while …
